New Malden Little League

A strong ethos

Manor Park is home to the fabulous New Malden Little League. Set up in the 1970s, by Bob Goodall, it’s still going strong today, under the watchful eye of Cesare (Chas) Sammarco. The ethos of this league is all about ensuring the ALL the boys and girls enjoy playing sport. Safeguarding is taken very seriously. The League, in fact, has a dedicated welfare officer, Martin Clark.

Boys and girls welcome

The league caters for boys and girls between the ages of 7-11. It plays every Saturday morning during the season on the front two pitches in Manor Park. There is a junior and a senior league. It’s wonderful watching the progression in skills as the children move up through the age groups.

It’s worth making the point that girls are most welcome – the league has in fact got some very strong female players.

April trials

There are trials in April each year, but if you’re son or daughter would like to get involved mid-season this is usually more than possible.

Volunteers wanted

The league is always looking out for volunteer managers and referees/linesmen.
